After a great visit of the City of Angels, I was heading towards a new fashion playground. My spring/summer 2014 collection Nouvelle Vague was about to get real.

Luxury shoes in Miami Vincent BottesiBlazing sun of a hot atmosphere, stretch of fine white sand, glamourously punctuated with jogging bikinis and salsa music in the background, spicy cocktails sipped here and there: I was Miami’s guest, ready for a unique fashion experience.

While Paris was freezing in the snow, I was enjoying myself in Miami Beach and its « caliente » ambiance. And there I was, in a pre Art Basel period, pursuing the Fashion « conquest » of America, with, Ursula, Grace (divas of my collection) and all the gang by my side, working their charm on the local trandwatchers and trendsetters.

First of all, hot temperatures should be treated with the most respectful dress code! Then I took a look around me. Plam trees, the heat and a constant melody, what a dream-like picture! In spite of all these temptations, and, I must say, a few exotic drinks, I hadn’t lost sight of my fashion schedule. The programme of the evening was a chic Vincent Bottesi soirée, at Villa Azur, the Frenchiest of all, where shoe addicts and luxury lovers met after having braved the pouring rain (it’s true what they say, no one can resist the call of fashion!)

Luxury Shoes Miami Vincent BottesiOnce again, my girls, as I like to call them, were at their best! Lights and shadows, with candles and amuse-bouches, the Bottesi shoes made their last representation for the American audience. Like in a musical, the elegant sandals, pumps, boots, were displayed on a spectacular Grand piano…

I was so glad to see how seduced my Miami guests were when discovering the exclusive Nouvelle Vague show. Let me tell you a little secret. This is what one of them said about my collection: « the retro/modern influence in the lines and colours reminds me of the unique architecture of Miami art deco district, where vintage optimism matches perfectly the pop colours of our time ». I couldn’t expect better before the drop of curtain.

Despite the weather difficulties (that’s how it works in the Tropics) the Villa Azur was the setting of a real success. And then I realized that not only the party was ending, but it was also the end of the fashion road trip I had begun two weeks before. I had so many things to celebrate and the whole night ahead of me but… No, No, I won’t say more, except that life is full of surprises when you know how to let them in (to be continued…).
